A Pledge That Continues

It was another great weekend.

Went to Rumah Aman to help Firdan with the robot.

It was such a painful yet awesome experience.

Painful because of the small parts that you have to fit it in but awesome because get to spend time with Firdan.

He was so excited in dealing with the robot that we almost immediately started building it, the moment I arrived there.

It took us 3 hours to only finish a portion of it but yet, it was so much fun as we get to share jokes and at the same time, focus on the target ahead.

Basically, we had a good day together.

Well, despite the pledge have ended, I do not think that I will stop it there.

I will continue to visit back Rumah Aman and bring greater joy to them whenever I am free and available.

The Saturday

August 21,

A day to help a boy fulfill his wish.

When my friend, Kavidha and me arrived in Rumah Aman, we were greeted by really happy people and am actually feeling really great that this really is a good Home.

So when we met with Firdan and Rozaidi, we were pumped up to fulfill their wish.

Naturally, the first place to take them to was Toys R’ Us.

After doing survey, there is the place to get the robot.

When we got the robot, the smile on Firdan’s face was enough for me.

It was so priceless and I am really happy to be able to help him in that.

We went there and got the robot.

Which after that, we headed to Carrefour to get the bicycle for Rozaidi.

Unfortunately, there is no delivery on that day and thus, we decided to head to Tesco.

We went there and saw a bicycle which Rozaidi was interested in.

There were so many problems and delays by their Customer Service which we spent so long waiting for them.

Finally, after everything, they told us that the bicycle is damaged with a punctured tyre and we can either take it home and get it fixed by ourselves or get a refund.

So much for a customer service, not about the refund policy but rather their tonation towards this.

It was a disappointment for Rozaidi for not being able to get the bicycle.

As for Firdan, I was supposed to make the robot with him but was delayed by all this.

By the time we got back to Rumah Aman, it was already time for me to head back and have no choice but to leave.

Definitely am going back there to help him finish it up this coming Saturday.

A promise to fulfill

It has been almost a month since I first went out to a shopping mall to survey the prices of moving robot with controls that you can build on.

Saw one by LEGO, but after that, it just slip past my mind when the work I have increases.

I felt so guilty and bad knowing that I almost forgotten about my pledge but thankfully, I receive a friendly reminder from TLC about my pledge.

If I had not, I might have totally missed it and how bad can things be with me breaking a promise that I have made long time ago.

Enough about my part, so what did I do to make up for it?

First, immediately stopped my work and called them to set an appointment to visit the place.

Second, rearrange all my schedule and cancelled some appointments.

That will be it for now.

Hope everything turns up well tomorrow. (Was meant to be up on August 20th)
